Corn, beans and peanuts are harvested home in autumn.

Every household is busy and happy.

Most of us who have lived in cities for a long time have long forgotten the temperature of the land,

By flipping through the calendar, I gained the memory of time,

And the most feeling is just the somatosensory temperature.

Children are even less aware of the significance of "autumn harvest" for farmers.

Dafengding Scenic Area

Where is the best place to enjoy autumn in Mabian?  I think every local person will tell you - Dafengding, which is a national nature reserve with a vast territory and rich species.

The main red-leaved tree species in the mountain forest are the Lianxiang tree, which has a variety of colors throughout the four seasons.  In spring, it is purple red, in summer it is emerald green, in autumn it is golden yellow, and in winter it is deep red.  Mor-eover, it is a deciduous tree that grows tall and upright, resembling fiery fireworks in autumn and winter.

Dawang Mountain

The Yangtianwo Alpine Meadow we often recommend is located within Dawang Mountain, which is also the favorite place for locals in autumn.

At the end of September, the autumn leaves of Dawang Mountain are dyed out, with colorful colors. The entire mountain is covered in a colorful coat, and the seven colored maple forest sways freely in the autumn wind. The villagers driving cattle and sheep, as well as the farmers carrying baskets of bamboo shoots, together create a stunning painting with this autumn color.

Jinjia ditch

If you want to explore the local autumn scenery, Jinjiagou is also a good choice, and many photography experts come to admire it.

Gold, red, and yellow are the main themes here, with each cluster dyeing the entire mountain forest.  The most unique autumn scenery here is the waterfall.  Standing on the mountainside, the towering waterfall flows down in front of you, particularly shockin-g.

The bountiful autumn harvest is not only displayed on everyone's faces, but also in the yards of every household, covered with corn and peanuts on the ground.  The small courtyard of the farmer's house is also busy, showcasing the abundant autumn harves-t in real-time.

I always thought kiwifruit grew on trees, until I met the vines on the slope, where kiwifruit hung one by one, which was surprising.  The high altitude of Mabian provides an excellent growth environment for them, and also makes the kiwifruit here particularly sweet.

The current season is just right for beating walnuts, the outer skin of walnuts changes from green to yellow, and the walnuts are ripe and full.  The walnut tree is tall and straight.  Take a bamboo pole and hit the mature walnut.  It falls to the sound and falls at its feet.  Peel the outer skin open and break the hard shell.  The walnut kernel is fragrant and sweet to the taste.

Sweet potato is one of the favorite crops planted by locals.  Under the vines on the ground are plump and large sweet potatoes, which are healthy and delicious.  Dig sweet potatoes in the field and experience the joy of harvest.

Mabian Peanut is very famous in the local area.  Walking into the field, under the green leaves, the fruit is buried deep in the soil.  Gaoshan pure natural small peanuts enjoy the unique nourishment of sunshine and rain here, with full particles, and are praised as "eternal fruits" by people.

Under the lush white bamboo forest, sharp white bamboo shoots can be seen everywhere, presenting a scene of abundant harvest.  White bamboo shoots are highly favored by local farmers and are an essential delicacy on autumn dining tables.

Autumn is the best time to collect mushrooms.  After an autumn rain, the mushrooms in Xiaoliangshan are exposed, with a rich variety that only locals can distinguish clearly.  However, the places where mushrooms are collected are mostly in remote mountai-n depressions.  It is recommended that everyone still purchase mushrooms picked by locals to taste.
