The core part of Dongfengyan Qianfoyan Scenic Area is located by the Qingyi River. On the right bank, there is Yifeng Mountain, and there is Yifeng tea on the mountain. On the left bank, there is the Grand View Mountain, with towering cliffs and grottoes in the Sui and Tang dynasties, which are exquisitely crafted.

There are more than 2,470 stone sculptures in Cave 162, which were excavated in the Sui Dynasty, flourished in the Tang Dynasty and extended to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. These Buddha statues are arranged in a patchwork, ranging from one cave to hu-ndreds of statues in one cave. They have beautiful shapes, exquisite skills, different postures and are colorful, and most of them are spontaneously carved by the people, showing the superb artistic level of stone carving in ancient China.
