Niuhua Ancient Town

Sixteen kilometers from Leshan City to the south along the Minjiang River, there is an ancient town called Niuhuaxi, which is close to the mountain and near the river, full of thick life atmosphere. Niuhua people generally affectionately call it Niuhua-qi.

Niuhua Town is a thousand year old salt town. It was the first place where Li Bing, the governor of Shu County, discovered the "salt irrigation". Because there is a perennial Liuhua River at the foot of the mountain behind the tow-n, and because "Hua" is "Hua" in ancient Chinese, "Liu" became "Niu" over time, and "Liuhua" became "Niuhua".

Speaking of Niuhua, the most exciting thing is the mouth-watering food in this town. Niuhua Food Street is the favorite place for Leshan people to go on weekends. The hundreds of meters of food street gathers all kinds of foo-d, and is full of time-honored brands.

Qingxi Ancient Town

You can see the mountains, see the water, and remember the homesickness. Compared with many ancient towns, Qingxi Town has a superior natural environment and unique charm.

At the fair, villagers from nearby came in droves, and the town was bustling, showing the unique folk customs of the ancient town, fully reflecting the continuity of historical life, showing a dynamic picture of folk customs in sout-hern Sichuan, which is a living "museum of folk houses in southern Sichuan".

Huatou Ancient Town

Surrounded by mountains and rivers, hills and valleys crisscross, vast fields are green as smoke, and  Huatou  ancient town does not lose its charm. Local residents live in wooden houses, and many stilted buildings of western Sic-huan style are still preserved.

Huatou Ancient Town is a marginal town at the southernmost end of the Jiajiang River. It has pure natural scenery and cultural buildings. Because of the high mountains and deep forests, the beautiful ecology, and the elevation of more than 800 meters, even in the hot summer, there is rarely a temperature of more than 30 degrees.

Jianban Ancient Town

Jianban Ancient Town is one of the 200 characteristic small towns built in Sichuan. Shunhe Street in the town was also rated as one of the "most livable streets in Sichuan". Today, although the old streets in the town are still inha-bited, they have already lost their former prosperity. Walking through them is like "crossing" a hundred years back to the ancient times of western Sichuan.

There are more than 200 Ming and Qing residences in the ancient town, most of which are wooden plank houses with bucket structure. The houses are closely connected with each other and have the characteristics of the reside-nces in southwest Sichuan.

Luocheng  Ancient Town

Located at the top of the mountain, Luocheng Ancient Town has a unique boat-shaped street in China, known as "Noah's Ark of China". The shuttle street is the bottom of the ship, the buildings on both sides are the side of the ship, the ancient theater is the cabin of the ship, and the Lingguan Temple is the stern of the ship.

In Luocheng, time seems to have slowed down, old pipe, handmade cloth shoes... You can have a cup of tea and play cards with local residents in a pavilion , and then you can spend the afternoon leisurely.

Bagou  Ancient Town

Bagou is an ancient industrial town that shuttles through time, a quiet town far away from the hustle and bustle, and a charming town with picturesque scenery. This place is lofty mountains and high ranges and is very beautifu-l, and used to be the junction of Leshan, Qianwei and Muchuan counties.

The town seems to have no characteristics at first sight. But when you go deep into it, you will find that it is different. The strong marks of time, the complete residential buildings in southwest Sichuan, and the red star slogan ar-e all traces left by history.

Luomu  Ancient Town

Luomu, an ancient  town outside the downtown, was built in the first year of Wude, Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty. It's about 50 minutes' drive from Leshan downtown. The town still has an ancient style and has not been t-oo commercialized. The passage of time seems to be just a  form.

Walking in the ancient town, you can see that the old street paved with bluestone slabs in the ancient town makes you feel like time goes back. Traditional handicrafts and snacks in the town are definitely the flavor of Emei peop-le's childhood.

Suji  Ancient Town

There are many ancient towns in Jiazhou, and  Suji is outstanding. Suji is famous for its long history, which naturally extends the beauty of old life. At the same time, it also uses the combination of light scenery and modern elem-ents to stroll through it, as if it were shuttling through the quiet old time.

Suji Ancient Town has the reputation of "the land of fish and rice" in Jiazhou. From the upper street to the lower street, from the south bank to the north bank, there is qiao-jiao beef, Uncongealed tofu, rice candy, liang-gao, ka-b-ing, bobo-ji……Eating while walking makes people feel the infinite charm of the ancient town.

Xiba  Ancient Town

Xiba Town, formerly known as "Xirong Town", is named after the Rong River in its territory. It has been a key point of land and water transportation since ancient times, and is known as "Xiba Water Wharf".

This southern Sichuan town with more than 2300 years of memory has a long history. Xiba used to be an important post station on the South Silk Road. During the busy time, there were many boats and horses on the river. The crowds crowded the whole street.

Mucheng  Ancient Town

Mucheng, also known as Muchengba, is a very legendary ancient town, facing the Qingyi River and leaning against Daqi Mountain. Many years ago, the town was full of shops, docks and boats. It is said that the bustling scene o-f the town at that time was comparable to "Little Shanghai".

 To this day, many ancient buildings are still well preserved. Such as the ancient ferry, the embroidery tower, the folk houses in the back street, and the bluestone road, which are staggered in height, the top of the green tile slop-e, and the Sanli old street, the ancient style still exists.

Ganjiang  Ancient Town

Ganjiang Town faces Minjiang River in the east, Qingyi River in the west, Emei Mountain in the distance, and Jiupanqing Peak in the back. Since it is relatively close to the county seat and the economy is relatively prosperous, it is fortunate to adopt a new site to build houses, so the old street has been preserved until now.

The most bustling place in the ancient town is the flagstone street. Walking on the flagstone street, you can see many old crafts that have disappeared outside.

Tielu  Ancient Town

Tielu Ancient Town borders on Tanku Township, Muchuan County, and Muxi River runs through the whole territory. There is only one street in the ancient town. Scholars gave it a good name, which is called "pocket ancient tow-n".

The ancient towns are all small green tile bungalows with wooden structure. The streets are like a shuttle, narrow at both ends and wide in the middle. In front of people, it looks like a small boat docked in the Muxi River. Its bow, stern, cabin and oars (six alleys) are complete. It is a veritable "boat by the river".

Mamiao  Ancient Town

Mamiao Ancient Town is located 20 kilometers southwest of Qianwei County and in the middle of the famous Tongxing Alsophila Lake scenic spot in Qianwei County. In the past, there was a water and land wharf for transportin-g coal . Now, water and road are convenient. 

Close to the town, you will feel the elegance and beauty of Chinese ink painting. You can enjoy the noise far away from the city when you are in it.

Fulu  Ancient Town

Fulu Food is the best in the world, and it is a famous distribution center in the mountains. This ancient pocket city has gone through the vicissitudes of 2000 years, but its ancient charm remains the same. The "Three Copper Anci-ent Culture" is famous throughout the country.

The air in Fulu Town is particularly fresh, especially in the morning after rain, when the sun shines, the whole town is covered in gold.
