This National Day holiday, Niuhua Town turns its entire food street into a stage. It's the birthplace of malatang and a thousand-year-old salt wharf. From October 1 to 7, a salt-themed immersive theater performance unfolds beneath the archway, recreating scenes of boat trackers pulling vessels, salt workers' chants, and the old wharf life. Along the street, you can try rubbing prints and lacquer fan painting, and take home a piece of calligraphy written on-site by a calligrapher. By day, there are red song flash mobs; at night, the Wuchu Palace Square gala takes over, with guochao dance, acrobatics, and magic performing in turn. Come to Leshan for National Day. After visiting the Giant Buddha, turn into Niuhua and watch a story that has walked straight out of the salt wharf era, all amid the bustle of everyday life.
