As 2026 began, Leshan welcomed the New Year in diverse and exciting ways.

At the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area, a team of dancing and boxing robots captivated crowds of tourists.

On Mount Emei, visitors soaked in the breathtaking views of this sacred mountain from the 3,079-meter-high observation deck. They made sincere wishes and their New Year blessings.

In Muchuan County, the immersive Paotang Banquet Food Festival — a series of events celebrating intangible cultural heritage — allowed tourists to experience local cultural and tourism resources firsthand. Highlights included displays of the Muchuan Straw Dragon and Lion Dance, along with classic Sichuan delicacies.

In Sha wan District, over 120 outdoor and music enthusiasts trekked deep into an 80-meter-high domed karst cave, where a cave concert offered them a refreshing travel experience.

In downtown Shizhong District, the “Under the Tree 2026 New Year Concert” was held at Jiazhou Lvxin Park. Renowned musician Mo Xi Zi Shi and his band took the stage, with nature as their backdrop and greenery as their companion, ushering in the New Year with pure melodies.

As night fell, Suji Ancient Town came alive with renewed charm. Performances featuring ancient-style arts and iron-smelting fireworks drew admiration from both residents and visitors.

During the three-day New Year holiday, various parts of Leshan showcased a blend of cultural heritage and festive ambiance, embodying a uniquely Chinese charm. We wish everyone a happy New Year and the fulfillment of all their aspirations!
