Alisma plantago-aquatica, often used for ornamental purposes in gardens and waterscapes, is a high-value plant whose rhizomes are also used in medicine. The period after autumn harvest and before the winter solstice marks its optimal growth season.
Through unified production standards, expanded sales channels, and the introduction of agricultural technology, Caijin Town in Wutongqiao District has significantly improved the yield and quality of Alisma. This year, over 1,500 mu (around 100 hectares) of the plant are ready for harvest, with an estimated total output value of approximately RMB 4 million and a per capita income increase of about RMB 10,000 for local farmers.
